Do they send you an email when u pass everything and are just waiting on your list or do you have to reach out to them and check ?

$177.24 for the basic option which isn’t very basic. It’s awesome insurance. There is no deductible to meet with the basic option. I’m not sure about the other options but for this price it makes no sense not to choose basic.

Good deal. I'm assuming $0 deductible in network and something else for out of network? Someone mentioned $7k out of pocket, assuming that's not in network.

I asked my HR POC about a month after the MMPI and she informed me that I had all my clearances. The next week I received my facility list.

I'm sure if you don't inquire it won't change when you get your list, I was just curious so I asked.

No, it’s gonna be $7,000 a year and we’ll be paying tons in deductible!!
Lord, I have had this insurance for 4 years now I think I know how it works. Some people on here just shit nonsense out of their mouth for some reason. Im
Giving specifics on this plan for people but no no let someone else tell me how my plan works.

correct 0$ deductible. I think the copay goes up for out of network. Never ran into that problem tho. Idk about the 7k figure. Some may try to tell you otherwise but this plan there is definitely zero deductible to meet

Ok so my point to slightly talking shit is that you shouldn’t put out wrong or uninformed information on a forum that usually provides accurate information. It’s not a huge deal but it is annoying when someone who isn’t a government employee that is enrolled in the plan tries to tell me what the plan is and misinforms others. So to be clear, I know the difference in a deductible and copay. That roll of hypothetical quarters that got stuck in your ass must be messing with you. Maybe you can get enrolled in the Federal Employee Plan and pay your 30$ copay to see a doctor

Ok well the example that I gave is how the majority of healthcare plans work, federal plans or not. I have had blue cross before, maybe not the plan that you are on. So I’m not giving out misinformation. Anybody can read the plan brochure and see that. The roll of quarters thing only happened one time and I’m a better person because of it.

Well most of the questions everyone asks can be found somewhere else with a little time and research but people ask here instead. You clarified after that first post that situations may be different but the first one you stated their would be other costs besides a copay etc....or something to that effect. I’m just trying to put out good info for all of you that are making huge life changes. Some leaving the military with many fears. I will say this. Life is wayyyyy better on this side. For me anyways.

Well thank you. People like you are what keep me going. Kidding. But not really kidding.

.65 didn’t exist when I went through all of it and SM was a bunch of bullshit to sort through. I’m far from an expert on anything but I do want this platform to give people information that can help in decisions. Hope everyone gets what they want coming up

When you look on 123atc.com at salaries are those fairly accurate? Also if say for instance that at xxx facility only has D3 and it starts at $62,000 and says 15.67% locality pay is the locality pay already factored into the $62k? Or is that 15% on top of the $62k?

If you are on the facility specific page whatever the table says is accurate. It'll also say "Includes everything except premium pay".
If you want to look at the pay charts w/ specific locality or no locality use this:
