Hey guys. Just looking for general information about the area surrounding the center. I’m interested in North Ridgeville, but the schools don’t have great reviews. Anyone here have first hand experience and/or recommendations?

Hey guys! I was just curious how the training environment and work environment is? Any training holds? How are union relationships? Any information whatsoever helps. Thanks!

We are number 1 in training I believe through all centers. No training holds, no training backlogs. I arrived in June of last year, there were 40-50 DSide training backlog. The training department got through that backlog by end of November of last year. Now there is the subsequent tiny backlog of Completed d sides heading to R school but that's clears up with the 8 spots for each Radar class. Work environment is awesome. Some areas are more not politically correct but that's why I love it. No complaints about union. We got a good bunch of em running it here. Amazing center.

Any questions about area i was a local before ending up here and I can give more details feel free to PM me

Does anyone know how hard it is to transfer from a tower to a center? I’m from Cleveland and I have family that works at ZOB, I wanted enroute to begin with but got terminal and I certified at my first tower in less than 3 months. Just wondering what my chances of getting picked up for ZOB would be.

Start looking up NCEPT. Couple he really easy or really hard. Depends on your staffing and ZOB staffing. Also depends if ZOB likes to pick up other center transfers, in region people, etc. Best bet (if pay is important to you) put in for every level 8 by your hometown that’s maybe 1-2 hour drive max. If pay is not important then do that same thing.

Thanks, My staffing will be over 100% I believe we'll be able to release two on the next ncept. I'm really more concerned with getting to a center rather than getting close to home, ZOB would just be the best of both. I was planning on putting in paperwork for a few of the centers and hoping one sticks.

ZOB has been CPC-IT transfer friendly, no more trainee backlog so it should be a pretty slam dunk transfer with quick training time

In the past year we have had several CPC-ITs from terminals wash; including some that never made it out of the D-side labs. There were a few good ones that were bummers to see not make it (good attitudes, good personalities, and willing to learn but just couldn't handle level 12 traffic), but most were poor performers who seemed too complacent, lazy, and unwilling to study/learn.

Maybe they should come back when ZOB gets the downgrade…don’t have to worry about 12 traffic when you’re not a 12 🫣
