The masks don’t work, they only protect to 20 or so microns, the virus is way smaller. I thought that meme that shows building a chain link fence to keep mosquitos out was just to be funny but I guess in scale it’s pretty accurate to the masks and COVID. I am all for Hazard Pay though, it’s a scam but the government ruined its economy on fake news and scams what’s a few million more for the controllers that didn’t get to stay home or work from home.

All this is well and good but forgets one really key element. The virus isn’t floating around by it’s damn self. It’s carried by bits of phlegm and spit etc, which are things the masks DO block. The mask is more like a chain link fence keeping out a dog when you’re trying to stop fleas from getting to your yard.

COVID-19 Close To Losing Its Epidemic Status In The US, According To The CDC

wonder how many more weeks/months we are going to go on pretending that the sky is falling? Poor trainees. Collateral damage in political war.

the markets - which are always forward looking - are not concerned in the slightest. More people know they are being scammed everyday.
The stock market is disconnected from reality because the Federal Reserve is pumping trillions into the market and providing a backboard every time the threat of a downturn pops up. Has nothing to do with being forward looking.

Somebody’s gonna finally figure out one day that even though training stops for months on end, retirements don’t. There have been plenty of people who’ve retired over the past 4 months, and 0 trainees have checked out to take their places. The longer this drags on, the worse the staffing situation is going to be down the road when traffic does pick back up, especially at smaller facilities. Eventually when some ATM or facrep realizes they’re going to be on mandatory 6 day weeks when traffic hits a certain amount because there haven’t been any new CPCs coming down the pipeline, I bet things with training start to move real quick.

While I wish this were the case, if I know the government, what they’re gonna do is is hire more people instead of expediting training. It’s the perfect blend of not solving the problem expeditiously while also fucking everything up more than it already is

If states don't allow kids to go back to school (child abuse), there is no way the powers that be in this Training Workgroup - pushing their political agenda - are going to permit trainees to come back. Trainees are being used as pawns. No one (in power) actually gives a shit about the limbo you are in. Obviously.

yeah. they have unlimited money. they have no problem systemically paying certain facilities unlimited OT for decades, so there will be no rush to have trainees come back to supplement attrition via retirements, etc. The money prionters never run out of ink. You can't apply logic to an irrational group. You can but it misses the mark entireley on whats happening and whats likely to happen going fwd.

whats likely to happen going fwd.

furloughs !!!!

They clearly don’t care. The folks making decisions are looking at 2 weeks ahead of the game. Not years. Honestly, I’m looking forward to the shit show that’s being created.
