Enroute Class Size 9 ?

I was just advised that Enroute class size is being reduced to 9 students. Has anyone heard what this will do to Academy timing?

This is excerpt from the email I received …"The FAA adjusted the class size to nine students for classes that start August 21 for the remainder of this fiscal year."...FYI

Not enough students (that are cleared/ready/approved) to fill Academy classes to capacity. So instead of running the available students into classes of 18 and having a 6 week dead-time, they'll go with half-full classes to keep things running. Fiscal year starts October 1.
