ERAM Tips/Tricks

Had an airline pilot ask what the aircraft registration on the flight plan was to see if he was flying the right plane... FR I CID will get you the ICAO flight plan readout with all that stuff. If you want to print it I think it's FR I P (CID) (Sector ID)? Or some combination of that.

Thats one way, or you can do (if I remember correctly):

FR 33 CID

When I'm bored I "FR 29" or "FR 33" my traffic to see alternates or registrations. I'm not at work at the moment so I forget which one is alternate airport, and which is registration.

*Edit: Checked, it is FR 33 CID

If you want to plan a heading you can type QV (two-digit heading, i.e. 12 = 120 or 09 = 090) CID. QV 12 CID and it'll draw a little arrow pointing in that heading. Really great for planning deviations. It also gets longer if you extend the leader line.

MultiFunc T is pretty fun when you’re slow. There’s several screens to it. Hit the clear key to go back to normal
