Medical Retirement OPM Question

I was just separated from the FAA for failure to maintain my medical clearance. The Benefits Operations Center has forwarded my package to OPM for a medical retirement.

For anyone that's gone through this process, what was their timeline to process your retirement? Were you required to submit additional evidence beyond the flight surgeon disqualifying you?

You need a lawyer, yesterday, these people have helped every federal employee. Home

Looking at your previous post, how did all this happen in the course of 2 months?
Yeah that doesn’t add up. I find it hard to believe you get put on meds, have your medical pulled, provide all the required documentation, go to follow ups & requested tests, receive a permanent DQ notification, exhaust all appeals/special considerations, go thru a support specialist position job search, and be separated within a couple weeks.

I had the date wrong. It was March 2023. But a year still is fast given all that I’ve seen play out around me.
