Mick Devine - How the FAA Stole Your Money: The Untold Story

NDJH have experience on the contract team, shitty experience is still experience in their eyes.

I had always assumed the mass downgrades from 2011-12 were recession related. Which is probably true to an extent. But then when traffic came back, there was this obvious thing where only a couple of facilities got back upgraded. Everybody hit this new normal.

But there still has to be a solution. Automated counts vs hand counts is a smoke screen. Do we need less levels? A tweak to TCI? Harder downgrade criteria? Easier upgrade criteria?

Something needs to be fixed. NDJH rolled over the broken MOU into this current contract. Vote for people who want to fix shit

I'm still not going to vote to re-elect any representative at any level because of my personal dissatisfaction with maintaining the status quo.... but the numbers show the systematic gutting of the "middle class" of our profession. Today, we are largely a workforce of haves and have-nots. By-and-large, the FAA did not force TCI upon us as much as our "leaders" took it in the ass willingly. Worse, they took it in the ass without even doing their own homework... and I didn't need the video to remind me of that as I was against ratification before any of these cats and their newfound hindsight-like 20/20 vision.

- 296 facilities in 2002 vs. 304 facilities in 2023... this is 804-related actions with more realignments/consolidations to come thanks to FAA Reauthorization and $5 billion extra in sweet, sweet Infrastructure and Jobs Act cash to dole out.

- By generally-accepted groupings...
- ATC 10-12: 57 facilities in 2002 vs. 50 facilities in 2023
- ATC 7-9: 165 facilities in 2002 vs. 124 facilities in 2023
- ATC 4-6: 74 facilities in 2002 vs. 130 facilities in 2023

- By less generally-accepted groupings...
- ATC 11-12: 40 facilities in 2002 vs. 39 facilities in 2023
- ATC 9-10: 51 facilities in 2002 vs. 38 facilities in 2023
- ATC 7-8: 131 facilities in 2002 vs. 97 facilities in 2023
- ATC 5-6: 74 facilities in 2002 vs. 114 facilities in 2023
- ATC 4: 0 facilities in 2002 vs. 16 facilities in 2023

Mick gots my vote… What’s his take on Covid Hazard Back pay??
Sometimes fuck bag loyalists will say "what articles in the contract are you willing to throw away if you want to re-negotiate the whole thing just for a chance at a pay raise?".

Well, there are at least 60 or so articles in the contract I would give up to get a pay raise. But the number one overall is the Hazard Pay article. Because it is simply not real. When you read it is basically specifically describes the COVID situations (I know COVID was fake, but everyone was pretending it was real at the time). If they could not get hazard pay for that, and they apparently didn't even try, then that article is useless and could not even be applied with bubonic plague or a zombie apocalypse.

I kinda assume if we ever got to the point of hazard pay, we would be dead anyways lol.

List the 60 articles you’ll get rid of?? I would give a 20% pay cut for 5/10 the rest of my career with no accrual of annual leave
