I know this may go over like a lead balloon here with how disgruntled many are here with Natca but Natca is starting a new bi-annual training conference. This year it is to be held at Caesar and is funded by Natca National. I heard some about it on the NGL Telcom. You can attend all or part of the conference depending on your RDOs or if you can get off the schedule. Attend one class and Natca national pays for it. Could be interesting to see some of the committees and classes that are being offered. Hopefully an agenda or something will be posted.

Imagine the number of deals that would happen though. The majority of these people are hard core traffic dodgers that maintain minimum currency to still be called “controllers.” Some at our facility refuse to even get currency if there’s more than a handful of planes in the sector and even then they need a D side. It’s a joke.

I’d rather have decent staffing, not being forced to work 6 day weeks UFA, have the ability to ERR, have pay that at least somewhat matches inflation, have someone address the fact that many missed out on six figures in career earnings due to bullshit NATCA approved COVID polices, have the current bullshit COVID free leave and mask policies rescinded, among other things.

But yea, I guess a weekend of blackjack is cool too.

Probably would be more effective than “collaboration” which produces nothing of substance for the membership. We just renewed a contract with a 1.6% annual raise when inflation was 10% this year alone because it was “as good as we’re gonna get.”

There is no reason to do this, campaign for politicians, or any of that shit until at least 2026 when new contract negotiations (now with DeSantis) have the potential to happen.

I’m not even going to join the NATCA members only FB page. That is coming right around the corner, they already blocked anyone from commenting on the current page.
