Return Rights MOU questions

I’m a current controller waiting on my release date for one of the low staffed MOU return rights facilities. I’m looking for some answers to the following just to ease my mind in case something doesn’t work out:

- In case I’m not liking my new facility (and I have return rights), can I withdraw from training at any time and for any reason? Can I be in between positions (certified on one and waiting for class for another) and still withdraw?

- How long can a facility keep someone if they withdraw from training? Let’s say I become certified on some positions and I’m used for staffing.

- If I withdraw and return to my old facility, do I return to my old pay or do I keep part of my raise?

Thanks!

1. You can withdraw at any time and return. (I assume you're talking about the big 4, N90, C90, A80, and LAX)
2. Time after you withdraw is subject to your facility. In the few instances I'm aware of, they happened fairly quick. (A few weeks to a month)
3. Your pay is set as if you never left your previous facility.

Longest I've seen a CPC-IT stay here after withdrawing was about 6 months. And you can't be used for staffing. Once you withdraw you're not allowed to work anything but FD regardless of how many positions you certified in.

And of course you don't keep any of your raise. If you got to do that everyone would be bidding here to withdraw and go back for more pay. And why are you already wondering about withdrawing?

Thanks. Why don’t they use you to work other certified positions other than FD once you withdraw?

I’m only asking these questions about withdrawing because I am worried that I won’t like the area for living. I’m constantly worrying about what-ifs. Of course, there’s always a chance that I also may not hack it, and isn’t it always better to withdraw vs. officially washing out? I’m gonna try my damndest to succeed though.

There's no difference between withdrawing or washing out, they're both listed as training failures.
