Timeline Prior Experience

Does anyone have their Timeline for Prior experience from applying to walking into their facility. I know some will differ because of Covid. Just curious to see!

Everyone’s situation is gonna be different. For example I was lucky took me about 6-8 months. Other people it’s been over two years you’re not gonna be able to get a feel

Applied December 2015 in the door july 2017.

Applied end of January 2015, stepped foot into facility early September 2015. I was also on terminal leave from the mil for the first two months of my FAA career.

Most people from the March 21 bid had a start date of November - December 21. 7-9 months is standard unless you get tier 2'd.

EODS/CIL July 2018 (was working at a contract tower, so I didn’t have to do security
Medically cleared August 2018
List received November 2018
Facility assigned December 6, 2018
February 2019 I started at my facility

How do facility selections work for prior experience?

The FAA give you a list based off of your experience and which facilities are in need. Then they send you a list that you rank from first choice to last and send it back. The FAA throws it in the trash and sends you where they want, similar to the military dream sheets.
