Hey, couple questions.

I recently checked out at a Center a few weeks ago. I am very far from home and want to move closer to take care of my aging/sickly parents. Due to staffing, an ERR is pretty unlikely for the next year at least and my family issues don't qualify for a hardship. I've been interested in TMU to see if that's an option.

1. To become a TMC, is there a requirement for a year as CPC? (I didn't see that specified on one of the current TMU bids)

2. If I apply and get offered a TMC position, would I be able to leave immediately?

3. Is ATCS to TMC considered a promotion or is it just a lateral move?

p.s. I know how much everyone hates TMU, I'm just trying to do what's best for my family 😀

Thanks

  1. Requirements are listed in the bid
  2. It follows NCEPT releases
  3. Lateral

We have a guy who hardshipped as a controller and bid the supe opening. Got the hardship and qualified for the supe bid.

Thats how to promote / promote. Not even sure if its legal but he did it.

How is it illegal? Supe bids just take a waiver and hardships are their own process

Seems shady, but get in where you fit in. The saying you can't hardship promote, this is a loophole. Ref. This thread is the answer to making TMU while also doing a hardship.

He’s not hardshipping into a supe job. He had a hardship approved and got picked up through a different means
