I have an old copy of the patco contract, back in the day what would be now known as ERRs were seniority based. But hey, NATCA made it so a person who isn’t even a year in the agency can get picked up to ORD from a level 4 tower with a 3000 foot runway and no commercial ops!Could also change based on if you're a man or woman, white person or black person. Experience should be accounted for, not necessarily seniority. That same person after 15 years could still get ORD. I don’t want facilities to be stuck with some major douchebag (we all know at least one we would never want to work with again) because of the hiring practices. I have 18 years left that I’d be stuck with them.
