Midair Collision DCA

Ok great! Now go say it to a real audience!

Yes. If he doesn't reschedule to make an appearance on MSM after a disaster of epic proportions like this, that will be a fail fitting for a union I recently left.

It's already not ideal because every minute he waits to speak to the country is another minute the country is losing interest in what any of us would have to say.

FFS fly him to Atlanta if needed.

He can do print also. Like maybe that’s more his speed

Yes 100% that would have been a great message to deliver on a Cable platform and not fuckin Facebook.

Who the fuck outside of NATCA members even follows the fuckin page.
Half the members probably don't even follow it anymore because they told us to stop fucking voicing our opinion on there.. Blew the whole thing up and made commenting our opinions illegal. Absolute fucking joke.

Nick. Grow a sack. Go on FOX news and lie to the public that diversity hiring wasn’t a priority in 2015 and the biographical questionnaire was unbiased. Fox is used to lying. They will love you.

CNN anchor straight up said 10 hour days 6 days a week is unacceptable. At least someone is on our side.
Both CNN and Fox News tonight have said that controllers are over worked. They point out one controller doing the job of 2. FOX talked about COVID halting controllers and that FAA is short staffed. I think CNN mentioned something about staffing too. Media outlets are literally throwing us a bone. We can finally speak up. But Nick just refuses to take it and speak on it. Doesn’t even have to mention pay. Simply could just agree with the anchors and make it known to the public we are in crisis mode. He didn’t even defend the controller! I get it’s an on going investigation but explain to the public what visual separation is and why this controller may not be at fault. I mean the media outlets have pilots explaining the last ATC instructions instead of controllers. Shouldn’t WE be the most qualified to answer control instructions questions?

Nick Daniels has made it clear he is not there for his brothers and sisters. He will not support nor help his brothers and sisters in time of need.

SF1188 due tomorrow.

I was 0% going to leave the union, I really felt like it was better to be apart of it and to have a say. To stand together and support eachother especially at the local level. However, I do not know anymore if I can stay any longer after today. Our Union is a joke, they have absolutely failed to step up in a time of crisis. We (NATCA) pay many people good money to deal with these types of things. All I have seen last night and today is a few nearly useless emails to members, a few Facebook post of the same content. A failed interview on CNN (why not any other stations anyways?), a Facebook video that pretty much only members will see, and an offical statement that says almost nothing of value. Our president or someone else can't be in DC and get our message out better?

We already have been losing our standing in the public eye, and this situation is starting to spin out of control from a narrative point of view. We absolutely need the flying public on our side and NATCA has failed to get ahead of or to battle this crisis. This hasn't happened in over a decade... this is a HUGE event for us, and our leadership can't even get a workable interview on CNN lol!

I feel terrible for the controller, overall he actually did a pretty dam good job. Even the recovery after seeing two hit, he stayed in it. This will get picked apart for years... but in the end, 30 seconds before this happened everything was going great. 99.99999% of the time it would have been fine.
