Wait period to reapply on a bid

So here's a question. A controller quits the FAA because they have no choice due to being separated from their significant other. If they apply for the prior experience bid within a year, will they still be placed at their former facility even if they are married?

Within a year = Previous facility.

agreed.

But that's not what I'm asking.
But you are. Maybe unintentionally. You're asking if the rules that state you need to be separated from the FAA for over a year still apply to you because you're married. As answered above, yes. The rules still apply to you. Even if you're married. Reasoning. The faa doesn't care.

Yes. If you quit for at least a full year year, you can direct apply to any facility you want, no need to go through a bid of any kind. You may have trouble getting ATMs on board with this, but odds are you can find one who you can walk through the process.

I wasn't being clear. My question was with respect to this section in article 4. I would still have to wait year if applying for a previous experience bid? I'm trying to research what other options there are, but entirely prepared to have to quit for at least a year. It's unfortunate, but is what it is because you have to do what is necessary for your own life and family.

Is your spouse in the FAA as well?

Yes. FAA. Sorry for not being clear.

You can apply to a bid at any time.

That section only applies if the spouse is also an FAA employee. You didn't mention if that's the case or not.
I am a little confused about the wording of this in the contract tbh. We cant release at my facility currently, but if we got to a point that we could, does this mean that since we're married my ERR requests would be considered first over my coworkers ERR's to other facilities? Or does it mean that that my ERR to a specific facility would be considered first over other candidates applying?

Also for bids for a support specialist (which I am open to), it means that I would be considered first, but it have to be to an equal or lesser level facility than the one I'm currently at?

Like I said, I'm prepared to quit just trying to get as much info as I can before doing so.

ETA: spouse is an FAA employee.

Did spouse err to another facility half way across the country but you did not get selected?

Yes. FAA. Sorry for not being clear.

A4S4 is ingrade/downgrade and it puts you at the top of the ranking list but does not put you in the front of the line for release out of your current facility.
