My concerns: again my religious beliefs says otherwise, but lets again cast that aside for the sake of .65 discussion...

The decade + thing and kid thing I said is just what I want to see. We are dealing with new tech, at least massively implemented new tech, with (most) of the vaccines. An adult getting the shot is one thing, but a developing child is another. So much growth, so many defects. Many of us have genetic defects we never know about. I have one that has affected me severely (no it's not my brain lol) but I survived and I keep my medical. Not a pity story, so moving on: The effect on mRNA on the growing child is unknown, at least not known in a properly sized/tracked study. We will all witness that together.

I know the people that created the stuff are not evil nor had evil intentions. They did as good a job as possible. History says only time will tell with meds/vaxxes.

Heck, Billy Joel sang about it; if you are not familiar, please read about the children of Thalidomide. Not a vax, but it was "safe", but when the babies came out... I'll stop there, it's really sad. Any way, per the internet it is still in use, and now the risks are known, it just took time. I'm not an expert on this drug, if you read more into it and see someting I missed so be it.

The vax has been around to the general public since what, MAR/APR 2021? I can't say for sure. 9 months for typical pregnancy, everyone knows that. Short of a few premature babies, the stats I want are years away. I don't feel I'm making my concerns up, from a historical perspective.

That is besides the 8 people (some family) I know, first hand, that have had problems since getting the shot. One died. Yes it could absolutely be a coincidence, so lets just cancel this bit.

Most of my family "screams" at me to "just get the shot, think about your family, keep your job". It's crazy, maybe I'm nuts, but it just feels wrong. The mandate feels wrong in my gut. I trust my gut. I have made my choice due to my sincerely held beliefs.

What you missed about thalidomide is it was developed by nazis in a concentration camp, and afterwards by former nazi doctors, most of the post war studies were faked and results from the nazi death camp studies inserted, and the marketing was as a catchall alternative to barbiturates, and all of this was discovered and made public by doctors in the FDA and British health service, who blew the whistle on it.

I take a firm stance on body autonomy, more power to you, but using thalidomide as an example of why you are wary of the vaccine is kinda silly.

Agree, but again, there's a balance to be struck there. Where is the line? I was all for the Michelle Obama get moving/ healthy school lunch program to fight child obesity I wouldn't be for banning McDonald's, as much as I hate thier shitty burgers, and obesity and related problems have been a burden on American society for decades the combined effects of being fat surely kill more than covid annually, especially if you include obesity as a risk factor for covid, which it is.

I don't get down with authoritarianism from any side, and this statement is pretty dang close to that. You can't have a liberal democracy without individual liberty.

Id say people should "do thier own research" on corn syrup too, fight against big syrup and start eating less of it. You may be on be something here, but again, that's an individual choice for people to make.

All the time on tv one can see class action lawsuits about things that were once safe but now cause issues. Will we see an ad like this for the covid vax in 15 years? No one knows.

Thing you need to take into consideration is people were told it was safe solely by the manufacturers, based on thier own faulty studies juxtaposed with the covid vaccines which have had multiple clinical trials, by multiple agencies from many governments and private concerns. A drug to help pregnant women sleep with "trials" that took place in the 40s and 50s is vastly different in scope than vaccines for a global pandemic in the modern Era with scrutiny by basically every public health service on the planet.

Same goes for the things you see on TV. there's a totally different level of scrutiny attached to this, and thats absolutely worth noting. I'll give you there are no long term studies, can't argue with that, but for every class action lawsuit you see on tv there's a million medical treatments that don't have any issues or side effects. You should like your chances more than you do getting in your car and driving to work every day.
