Gee it’s almost like 99% of those dying are un-vaxxed and with almost all covid restrictions lifted it shouldn’t be surprising to anyone with a modicum of critical thinking ability to realize that it makes perfect sense for the death rate to increase when more people gather in close proximity than they were the year before.
Hey Dank, what’s the relationship like of the union at N90? Like for instance, do people blame the union for where the staffing is there? I’ve always heard it’s hardcore join the union or wash there. Just curious about the “inside” of the nations most complex, short staffed facility? (Honestly)

It’s a love/hate thing. The hardest of the hardcore Union guys are mostly retired now, and no one is happy with how either National or local has handled this PHL move. All the newer guys who are stuck here cause of NCEPT aren’t happy either. But there’s enough remembrance of the white book days where the general consensus is it’s better to have the Union than not have it, but feel free to speak your mind. And the local is very good at dealing with management fuckery.

Do some people not like how natca didn’t try for more % raise? I mean our President and Vice President had a huge increase in pay, yet we get laughable raises.

I’ve heard wild stories of the past, I agree it’s great to have a union.

Called it. What a joke.

The same study that said your 6X less likely to get delta virus in the first place? You are so disingenuous it’s incredible

You have every right to be pissed about how both National and the local have handled the PHL move. I honestly believe this wouldn't had happened if the old EWR area core was still there, but alas, we all have to go at some point, and our time was up. Even though I'm not there anymore, I do feel for you guys that are stuck there and forced to eat that shit sandwich.

This isn’t new news. The whole point is if you’re vaccinated you’re much less likely to get it in the first place. The lack of ability y’all show extropolate the simplest of conclusions from shit is truly mind boggling. Your entire world views are based on headlines and memes.
Woooooooooord

The problem is that’s not how the vaccine was sold.
We were told we wouldn’t catch it and spread it by Fauchi.
How do we trust anything they say when they change it non stop?

Because when the vaccine was being introduced the delta variant wasn’t around or was just starting to appear. The vaccine does work as sold with the non-delta variants, which is why you pretty much never hear about them anymore. They change what they say because conditions change. Just like you change your sequence as the situations develops. You don’t stay on a south flow just because that’s what the forecast said if the winds end up favoring north. You change it as you get new information. Life is dynamic, things change. And the more people who get vaccinated, means the fewer who catch it to begin with, which means the spread slows, which means it’s less likely to mutate again.

Lol here comes the revisionist history.

We were told that the vaccine slows spread of Delta. Research now proves that was false. That claim was repeated by so many people:

I called this like a month ago, that the sCiEnCe would ChAnGe and the argument that vaccination is needed because vaccinated individuals would spread it slower than unvaccinated individuals was bunk. The evidence was right there when viral loads were found to be equal in both groups.

Just another example of an argument being used as a political bludgeon that ends up to be false. This keeps happening, and it keeps driving people away.

[Edit] Your comparison example of flow is silly, because you’re missing the part where you’re telling air carriers to get numbers and fuel for south flow, then when the flow changes and they need to redo numbers, burn fuel, and taxi back to the gate because of crew timeouts because they planned to get airborne due to your south flow forecast, you shrug your shoulders and ignore the massive waste of resources, time, and money that your “prediction” caused.

No, it isn’t false at all. The vaccine absolutely reduces your chance of getting Covid to begin with, even the delta variant. If you have a much smaller chance of getting it, means there is a much smaller percentage of the population who has it to spread in the first place. So yes, it does slow the spread. And even if you catch it while vaccinated, if everyone around you is vaccinated it reduces the likelihood of them catching it from you. This isn’t fucking complicated.

And here, the CDC has begun tracking Covid cases by vaccination status. It’s pretty fuckibg clear.
