How about those election results? Democrats getting trounced everywhere, a write-in candidate defeating a “defund the police” mayor in NY, turnout being high, and NJ governor maybe going red. I’m no huge fan of Republicans, but it feels great seeing people turn out in droves against wacknut Democrat Covid policies and CRT in schools. Democrats better change their crazy messaging or they’re going to get destroyed next year.
What is wrong with teaching CRT lmao, you act like this country is full of progressives looking to indoctrinate the youth. Republicans think democrats are the fucking boogeymen when they the only difference is they don’t hate minorities

Telling elementary school kids that they’re inherently racist because of their skin color and separating them into groups in the classroom by race is taking race relations back 50 years. Thankfully, it looks like most voters agree.

[edit] Forgot to mention Minneapolis voting down the wacko “replace the police with a community intervention team” leftist idea by a 57-43 margin. What a bad day for the far left.
You ready to admit that trump is poisonous dog shit for republicans and the first election he wasn’t in the picture for they made huge gains?

Dems get trounced because they govern ineffectively and thier half assed attempts at progressive policy while trying to still appease the donor class fall flat for the people. Same things happen to Republicans when they run on regressive politics that enforce the status quo for lower and middle class white folks (like the anti CRT rhetoric you mention) and lo and behold thier policies don't have any real effect on said lower and middle class people when it comes to the dinner table economics.

It's all theater. That goes both ways with most midterms no matter who is in charge. Acting like this is a new phenomena that's never happened before is either stupid or disingenuous.

CF yes Trump is poisonous dog shit but a good portion of America will turn around and vote for him again in 2024 when said status quo continues to produce shit results for people, and also because moderate liberal policy is communism, much less actual progressive pro middle and working class policy.

I would have admitted that anytime. Democrats’ policies are so awful that they lose to republicans easily when Trump isn’t there to be a bogeyman. I hope this is a good enough wake up call to Trump that he shouldn’t run again; when Democrats can’t rally against him, they lose easily.

In Virginia the people who delivered it to Biden turned around and went right back to Republicans when trump wasn’t in the picture. Youngkin went out of his way to avoid being tied to trump and it worked.

A lot of dem policies are actually really popular but dems are morons who don’t know how to win elections because they let themselves get tied to stupid shit like defund the police and made up crises like CRT. When most of them don’t actually agree with any of that.

No, I’m pretty sure telling parents of children that they shouldn’t have a say in their child’s education isn’t a good idea, and exit polls reflected that:

Preliminary results of exit polling show that roughly half of Virginia voters say parents should have a lot of say in what their children's schools teach, with about a third saying parents should have some say and a little over 1 in 10 saying they should have little or no say.

Add the first two together and you get ~83%. When you say something that ~83% of your voters disagree with, it’s no wonder you lose.

Keep being in denial about actual things moderates and swing voters care about, and enjoy the red wave next year.

I love the idea of a 124 year old Democrat who inspired the totally fake moon landing, who was pretty progressive for his time, and who was all about that "deep state" type shit that brought us perilously close to global thermonuclear war is the new darling of the q crowd, and that he's somehow coming back from a gunshot wound to the head which we all saw on film.

Or maybe this is just prepping the rubes for a Trump/Joe Kennedy 2024 run. IT WAS IN THE PROPHECIES (as foretold by the weeb 4chan dude and his crazy dad).

It’s his son. The one who crashed off Martha’s Vineyard in the fog.

Seems to me if there were more Dems similar-ish to John Fetterman than there are Manchins/Pelosis/AOCs they wouldn't lose all the damn time. Cultural libs are a cancer that allowed corporatists to ransack the party since the Clinton era. Sweeping policies like the New Deal and the Great Society will never be able to come out of todays DNC. Any sort of economic liberalism within the party has been met with crushing opposition and sabotage from inside the party (Las Vegas Dems, Nina Turner, Bernie Sanders, etc.).

We’d have been lucky to have Camacho instead of Trump.

Or instead of Obama... or Bush... or Clinton... or Bush part 1... or Reagan.

Yeah man they’re really gonna introduce CRT into fucking elementary school along side astrophysics and thermodynamics. Teaching the history of our country teaches about the racist things our country has done, I’m sorry you’re too much of a snowflake to learn about your country

McAliffe was a dreadful candidate and dems deserved to lose for running him.

Not sure why that’s bold and it won’t let me fix it

You’re spot on but do you really think Trump cares enough about the Republican Party to bow out of a race in order to save it? Outside of him croaking he’ll be running again in ‘24

Even if he doesn’t some other full blown trumper will and it’ll be a choice for the Republican Party to go with him again or not.

“CRT isn’t being taught in elementary classrooms! It’s all a right wing scam!”

Meanwhile in reality:

Based on whistleblower documents and parents familiar with the session, a third-grade teacher at R.I. Meyerholz Elementary School began the lesson on “social identities” during a math class. The teacher asked all students to create an “identity map,” listing their race, class, gender, religion, family structure, and other characteristics. The teacher explained that the students live in a “dominant culture” of “white, middle class, cisgender, educated, able-bodied, Christian, English speaker,” who, according to the lesson, “created and maintained” this culture in order “to hold power and stay in power.”

Next, reading from This Book Is Antiracist, the students learned that “those with privilege have power over others” and that “folx who do not benefit from their social identities, who are in the subordinate culture, have little to no privilege and power.” As an example, the reading states that “a white, cisgender man, who is able-bodied, heterosexual, considered handsome and speaks English has more privilege than a Black transgender woman.” In some cases, because of the principle of intersectionality, “there are parts of us that hold some power and other parts that are oppressed,” even within a single individual.

That’s only a snippet of that article, it goes on and gets worse.

Keep digging the denial hole bigger and bigger, and enjoy the red wave that you enabled.

I hope Republican handlers will beg him not to run, especially after yesterday. A candidate who (mostly) ran on his stances, but didn’t publicly associate with him, won, and that’s terrible news for Democrats. Republican strategists just need to tell Trump to keep quiet like the Bush’s mostly have, and the Republican Party can emerge from Trumpism as a fresh alternative to radical Democrat policies that alienate the general public. Democrats handed 2022 (and probably 2024) to Republicans on a silver platter over the last year as long as the latter doesn’t talk about Trump as much, Republicans need only to be smart and take that opportunity.

Jokes on y'all. I've got insider info that Rinaldi and Gilbert were actually saving their salaries to fund a run in 2024. Santa and Lebovidge will be done in 2024 setting themselves up as the Secretary of Transportation, and FAA Administrator. Then of course the first item on the Agenda will be to create a non profit ATC Entity which will be headed up by none other than Dean Iacopelli, also Johnny "the bull" Carr for SecDef. Wake up Sheep!

Gag-inducing spelling of "folx" aside, what problems do you have with that passage? It all makes sense to me. If you want to sit there and tell me that a generic white cisgender male (in America) doesn't have more privilege and power than a generic black transgender female (in America)... I'm going to tell you you're delusional.

Is it the case that every single white man is better-off than every single black woman? No, of course not. But that's why we look at statistics and demographics instead of individuals. To take just one well-publicized example: Crack cocaine (whose users are heavily black) has much higher mandatory minimum sentences than powder cocaine (whose users are heavily white). That's a real and well-documented example of "the system"—specifically the legislative and judicial systems—"promoting" white people at the expense of black people.

This kind of situation happens all across the country in all kinds of different ways. What's wrong with educating students about that and, hopefully, raising a generation of lawmakers and judges who will be more judicious and equitable in the laws they write?

Wait so the elections yesterday were all legit and there was no fraud? Just checking. Maybe a little fraud in New Jersey? But none in Virginia?

Because if you level the playing field those in the rapidly declining middle class don't have someone to look down upon (with either pity or spite, doesn't matter) and people will actually have a reason to make real change to the system. Remove "well at least I'm not xxx group, I'm actually doing pretty awesome" from the conversation and people will realize pretty quick what the problem really is.

But there I go saying the quiet part out loud again.

The author's (Christopher F. Rufo) link to his "whistleblower documents" is a link to his own website with the same article, which then mentions the original article at the end of it.

It's like he cloned himself so he could give himself a handy.
