Listen your child was the grandson of somebody who thought of something, so he should totally benefit from the surplus labor of 2 generations of workers and get into good schools and reap the benefits of his ancestors "hard work".

He can even hit someone with a car drunk for free. But just once. Next time he will pay a hefty fine, maybe.

Had it not been for COVID, I imagine it would have been a 9 already. That being said, I believe when March 2022 TCI comes out, we will know more.

The funny thing is, most people who post this video have never actually given the city a fair shake. Or, they haven't been to Cleveland at all. It's a great city.
 
What’s the pay raise looking like this year, wonder if natca should have fought for raises that at least meet inflation but I guess that was too much to ask for
 
According to the law that was passed in the late 80s or so, we should be getting a cumulative 25% raise or something like that.

Like every single POTUS has done since that law was passed, Biden signed an EO saying "The US government is having a terrible horrible no-good very bad day and we can't afford to give everyone a 25% raise BUT we will give you a little raise, as a treat." This year it's a 2.2% across-the-board raise and an average 0.5% increase to locality pay. (That means some localities will get a big bump and other localities will get nothing.)

Congress can override that and give us something else, but they haven't, so what Biden proposed will most likely happen.

The new pay rates will be effective the first full pay period of 2022. But they only get paid out once the government has been officially funded. We're currently in a continuing resolution until 2/18/2022, so we won't actually get the money until Congress passes the FY2022 budget. Once that happens everyone gets back-pay for the raise.

Side note, this "cost of living adjustment" is something that happens every January for all Fed employees, and the amount varies. The June "length of service adjustment" is the 1.6% increase that NATCA declined to re-negotiate, and that's only for BUEs employed by the FAA. That amount doesn't change each year... although we don't get it in any year in which the government-wide January COLA was 0%.

Last I heard/saw was in October; talking about 2.2% with additional .5% for some localities. But nothing since.

Democrats and Republicans are two faces of the same coin.... while one side may be shinier than the other, the whole thing still smells like ass.

I want my 25%
