It’s literally a thread where you can talk about anything.

This is literally the Russia talking point on the matter. NATO encroachment on their border. I'm not saying it's currently a real issue for them, but the past 300 years of Russian history is "western power invades, burns cities, kills millions".

Again, not saying it's a currently valid viewpoint, or cause for concern for them, but it is the history of the matter and why historically they feel like they need the buffer.

Poland is a NATO Ally, which we have an obligation to defend. This would obviously start ww3 and Russia isn't gonna risk that, ever. Also, Poland, Estonia etc being NATO allies is part of why we are in the current pickle, reference above.

Sure. Agreed. Aid is great. I'm rooting for Ukraine. That's not the rhetoric coming from DC though. It's all talk of escalation.
And it’s why Ukraine hasn’t become a anti member and the us has pretty much said they won’t become one.

And it’s not much escalation when they say in tv that if Russia attacks Ukraine all they are gonna do is sanction them lol

Has a lot to do with being involved in active border disputes with said aggressors more than it does anything.

I dunno dude.... Saying the US would "respond decisively", "they will pay a heavy price" and that a Russian invasion of Ukraine "would change the world" while you are at the same time heightening the readiness of the US military, sending aid and advisors there, and spinning up 8500 plus troops and aircraft is a little mote bellicose than "we are gonna sanction them (more)".

it's certainly not cooling anything off.

I'm looking forward to the new jackass movie quite a bit.

I dunno I’ve said it 100 times but it’s nowhere near amassing 100,000 troops and surrounding a couple try in military bases and outposts

Also I too am excited for the new jackass movie. Those dudes must be so sore 24/7.

Look at that map. Now take into account Japan and Korea to the east. And for a period of about 20 years we had bases all up in many of the xxxxstans of central Asia.

Now take into account we also were looking at offering Georgia NATO membership in the mid aughts.

Who is surrounding who, and taking into consideration what I mentioned about history earlier..... You see what I'm getting at when you look at it objectively from a non US centric, non world police viewpoint?

I'm frankly surprised most of them are still alive.

What. I didn’t think he could pardon after getting out of office, plus no one from Jan 6th got charged with treason. A few cases of trespassing and probation, but that’s all.
You must have missed the sedition charges for the oath keeper dudes and other people already sentenced to a year plus in jail over it.

Your penance is listening to NPR for 20 minutes and throwing 5 bricks at a commercial retail establishment.
NPR is so good. I bet people would be surprised to hear they barely even talk about politics. The other day they were literally talking about the crispyness of French fries in the door dash age.

No need to listen to NPR to talk about crispyness of French fries
