Maher had a good talk last night about how bad it looks to oppose Florida's gender in schools bill. Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot if they keep speaking out against it.

If a kid tells a teacher that they think they are gay, why should the school have to report that to the parents?

Parents are entitled to know what happens with their child in school. I don't know where the left has this new idea that school is a place free from parental oversight, it's nuts and out of touch with public opinion. Just look at Virginia: McAuliffe infamously uttered "I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach" during his campaign last year, and when exit polls came out, 77% of Youngkin (who won)'s voters said Parents should have a lot of say in their kids' educations.

Teachers should put kids in potentially unsafe situations? What if the kid says their parents is hitting them? Tell the cops or tell the parent what the kid said?

Teacher should tell parent about behavior issue or issue with their schoolwork.

Teachers should be trusted to use their judgement and not have laws telling them how to do their jobs

Parental rights. Why would you want to teach a 7-8-9 year old about transgenderism/sexual orientation? Let kids be kids. Don’t try and confuse them about their sexuality

Teachers should do this and that but they don’t. Lots of cases around the country about teachers grooming/teaching kids about transgenderism/non binary crap kids don’t need to learn about age 7-8-9. This stuff has gotten out of hand and parents are fed up. 8359BE3C-6267-4D89-BDC9-BB7F7D8BE323.jpeg
Also would like the add the absurd amount of misinformation going around the “Don’t Say Gay” bill or so the Dems & Left are putting out there. It’s really a ton of misinformation & lies.

They cry because they think it’s illegal to say “gay” in FL and they think the governor is authoritarian and anti LGBTQ2IAZ$&£€+. Also the MSM is carrying their water, many such cases of fake news. They haven’t read the bill
 
Parents shouldn’t have a say of what gets taught in school, they aren’t all educators that’s the dumbest shit ever, if the south had their way evolution wouldn’t be taught and the Bible would

Idk I just don’t think parents should sue schools over stuff like this. They should use the processes that govern education like school boards and school board meetings.

Doesn’t Florida already have school choice?

Well, if they didn’t teach stupid shit like gender identity and transgenderism confusing children then this crap wouldn’t happen, right? Yeah they are already kicking people off of school board positions, such the case of the most progressive place like San Francisco.

There’s tons of laws already on the books dictating what happens when a child notifies a school they feel unsafe, but nice try at a false equivalence.

No, teachers should be held accountable to both the taxpayers who literally pay their salaries, and the parents of the minor children who are legally responsible for their children’s upbringing. To insist otherwise is insane, and should rightly be a political movement that causes lost elections just like defund the police.

Yes go to your school board meeting and testify. Talk to your kids teacher or the principal. No one is forcibly hiding what’s being taught
