Hey everyone, I've been a support specialist for a few years getting my medical worked out, looking into the process of going back to controlling. Curious on the process.

I'd like to go back to the facility I was originally controlling at, or nearby, not where I'm working as a SS. Any info on this process would be great!

As far as I am aware you just need to submit an ERR packet for NCEPT. If you're a non-op SS then you don't count for staffing for your current facility so all that should matter is if the gaining facility can pick you up.

SSS don’t move through NCEPT. But the process to file an err is the same. A42 or purple book equivalent.

Is there a maximum amount of time they can keep a SSS who is non operation. Example can you have a year release date while they try to fill the position?
They likely can’t bid the position until it’s no longer filled, so I don’t think they can use filling it as an excuse.
