NATCA Election Results

After regions put out votes and overwhelmingly it came back people wanted to negotiate he said I hear you and I’m with you.

We shouldn’t have a leader who closes his eyes and ears to the membership and is so set in their ways they refuse to change.

NDJH saw the same polls and said nah screw them we know better.

I’ll take the guys who at least say they’ll negotiate because if they don’t where cooked.

NDJH will extend and say we never said we’d negotiate sorry
I’m not saying I don’t agree with your point of view, but I don’t trust Santa/devine. They only care now that it’s an election year. Who says they’ll care if they’re elected again? Who says they don’t keep postponing anything since they know they won’t get kicked out of office? It’s worked out well enough for them to potentially get another term after doing virtually nothing notable.

Atleast they said they would negotiate NDJH never did did they? (Asking seriously, I might have missed it).

Id choose.the dude that says he would and lies since there's a chance versus the one that flat out says no.

The new fatigue rules say you can only work 6 day work weeks 2/3 weeks. Sure it’s small but it’s something and it’s better than the initially imposed work rules.

It was a non contract term, not much could be done. He’s also said he will open the contract and NDJH are extending the contract. An extension is certainly more of the same a new negotiation would be a change
If the new fatigue rules are the argument for another Rich Santa term then he should pull a Biden and drop out. The fact the agency can continue its reckless assault on the health and well being of controllers with 6 day work weeks at all is criminal. Most facilities have been or progressively become massively understaffed for almost a decade. It’s been a problem that has been brewing for a while and we have had 2 NATCA presidents who did not substantially address the issue. The current VP was an architect in creating a system that effectively froze controller movements or brought them to a trickle also costing us MORE staffing. I’m sure everyone has a few controllers at their facility who QUIT further hurting staffing because they couldn’t get out of the facility. I’m not saying it’s right but it’s a reality and forcing people to be in a place they don’t want to be and work overtime they don’t want isn’t how you build a strong workforce. Let’s also not mention all the BUE we’ve lost that moved into Supervisor roles because of lack of movements which is another failure on the current NATCA administration.

Bottomline is NATCA’s job is to advocate and improve working conditions for its workforce. The fatigue MOU is a basically putting a bandaid over a sucking chest wound and Mr Santa isn’t getting any kudos for that.

Rich and Mick need to keep hammering the contract negotiations thing. I though Daniles would landslide the west and south and win. Looks like even his members are split down there, just like Santa does not have full support in the East and far North. Rich and Mick need to inform the JD voters voting for NDJH is voting for a contract extension and the status quo that is killing them.
Mick Devine is a douchebag. I'll bet he got very few votes from New England.

I don’t have an answer as there was quite a lot of two faced answers in their ridiculous “campaign” videos. I think you’re right that NDJH never actually did though.

It’s probably worth it to take a chance with the known lier who said he’ll try like you said. Politicians are terrible.

You improve them by negotiating a contract

I dunno man doesn’t seem like anything is going to convince you.

We’re getting paid more to ojti, everything we wanted in faa Reauth, improved fatigue rules and overtime rules. All in a non contract year. You’d have to point to what past Natca presidents have done in non contract years that you’re comparing this too

Any update on the purple and light blue book negotiations? Last update about a month ago was that they had agreed to 10 of the 28 Articles being negotiated. Is September-ish still a possible finish date? The results of those negotiations would provide all of us with an idea of what Rich can or can not deliver in 2026.

They have said they will ask the faa for raises in MOUs. Which we know the faa will just laugh at

Jim Marinetti (Retired) was in DC today along with 20 other NDJH 114 promises. I said months ago he conspired with Nick to sabotage this term for a DC job if Nick wins and sure as shit he shows up for the count. Heard he high tailed it out of there when they saw it was going to be a runoff

You mean the guy who threw himself a $90k retirement party? (dues money doesn’t spend itself folks)

Bro I’m just going off what people have said in their campaign. I don’t know what conspiracies are behind closed doors.

Santa and Devine said they would negotiate a new contract, if they don’t they’re screwed.
Well if they don't the union will probably have some people leave.

I'm scared what were gonna gain and lose now

The union is joever if they extend I hope they understand that
Will be interesting now that the runoff goes until October is there really any time to mess around with extending before January?
If they extend and Kamala wins the union is over with either scenario.

Yeah if they negotiate (or faa wants open) and trump wins we may not be happier.

BUT neither candidate said we'll see how it fairs so if they extend people are gonna leave. Especially if the dems somehow manage to stay in power

I don’t have the confidence in giving someone more time to make minimal changes. In these positions you should be trying to take big swings and tackling problems especially when they are all so glaring. Scoring a field goal in garbage time is useless when we needed touchdowns to win earlier in the game. If Rich were to win I hope he does better with a 2nd term but I’m hoping we just go to start with a new direction and Nick does a better job. Regardless of who has the role, membership should be more vocal in demanding more from them and not just getting “NEB meeting” updates from Hawaii.
