NATCA Election Results

They underestimated the .65 and Reddit crowd.
I mean a guy who couldn't tour facilities (cuz he's working traffic) and didn't make a ton of videos (cuz he's working traffic) got 20% of the vote from a small website and a video.

I wonder if we would have 51% if we asked the agency to decertify the union. Turnout was pretty big this year out of almost 20,000 we had a little under 30% participation.

Apparently not only did Rich not show up to the count, he had already cleaned out his office at our office building. Dude was going to just quit and walk away if he lost.
I mean they’re supposed to be working right? Why would he go show up and watch people count?

Apparently Nick had 20 people go including former retired RVPs. Now why would retired controllers be at a count that doesn’t affect them? Seems like Nick has promised a lot of jobs to a lot of people. Dues increases incoming.

Clint Lancaster flying from AK seemed extremely unnecessary...

It's funny cuz Rich was Rinaldi's picked successor. On top of that, Rich has been paying Paul $250k of your dues money per year to be his personal "consultant".
What else is funny is Nick and crew called the Palm, a prettty expensive steakhouse in DC to book their victory party and when they told them they needed to put a non refundable deposit down for that many people they said Nevermind. Then they all called back individually and made reservations. They just can’t get away from those expensive steak dinners.

Perfect waste of union dues

TBF, it is a good steak house. Took the girl once and we had a great time. That said it was an expensive date.

You can’t wrap your head around the fact people may have other core values or issues they base their vote on?
I’m specifically referring to those that have made it very clear being an ATC is the most important thing in their lives. They’re on this thread, I’m sure you’ve seen their posts… 😜

Imagine if 5 people ran for President and VP it would cause them all to create a resonating message.

We haven’t forgot what happened last extension.
What happens if the FAA wants to have those talks in October….are they going to extend or say NO. Or are they going to agree to extend and if Kamala wins renege on the agreement. Last time they wanted to be to political correct which is what got us where we are at. The days of handling things like that have gone by the wayside, look at Kamala’s campaign ya gotta talk at their level to have people hear the fight and motive the base. When has NATCA done this…2008 and then RedBook.
^^ totally.

Same people that go up to people in Target and tell them they are an Air Traffic Controller.

Here’s from the NEB meeting minutes:

RVP Daniels then moved that, absent the ability to delay a decision, that the NATCA President will seek to extend the Slate Book until 2029, with the ability to reopen the CBA in 2026 by mutual agreement, with RVP MacQueen, RVP Shallenberger, RVP Devine, and EVP LeBovidge voting in opposition.

Explain to me what you think could have been done when our contract was extended outside of what he did.

Nick was an RVP what ideas did he propose to get us anything during his term? None he was out partying on yachts and the fuel bar.

Want to know how much leave Nick used travelling the country to campaign? 0

He’s in it for himself.
I agree with you, just want to point out that none of the e board uses leave ever. If you look at the end of year minutes they all conveniently take advantage of the article that allows them to carry well over the max amount of leave, every year. They all file a motion or whatever to approve each other and of course pass it.

Perfect waste of union dues

Looks like the public disagrees. If you're gonna spend my union dues on fine dining at least have it be good. Bad taste = bad leader. Thank god these guys will be heading from the yachts to the boards
