I'm currently practicing to take the ATC test and attend academy in the future. The academy is not in my state. Would I be able to bring my wife (who is not attending academy) and both live in some kind of FAA housing together instead of leaving her across the country?

Cool beans, were you both able to stay in the provided housing at the discounted rate or did you have to pay extra for an apartment not provided/ discounted?
There are many housing options for you. We had a full apartment to ourselves. Only Kim’s place charges per person I think. Though you can spend more to get a home to yourself or something.

You really need to focus on passing the test and the lengthy hiring process before worrying about the logistics of where you’re going to stay in Oklahoma. Statistically, the vast majority of people don’t even make it there.

Unrelated, studying for the ATSA, IMO, is a waste of time. With all the public pressure on hiring, they are going to take anyone with a pulse that can pass the drug test.
Good thing you have to get a TOL, after the ATSA, to even get to a drug test. Study if you want, but as of now the ATSA is required and as far as we know the results will still impact if you move on or not.

Contact us for housing when the time comes. We have options and would love to help.
