Video Games

I own both, PS5 all the way. Way better menu system, better controller and better games. Demons Souls is absolutely gorgeous. They knocked it out of the park there, incredible detail.

Much higher demand and far harder to acquire. I managed to order 3 xboxes for friends from GameStop last night ?. I had three friends trying to get PS5s with me the other night when GameStop had them. Between us we only managed to get one lol.
I was mostly trolling but I think the gap is getting smaller and smaller now between both consoles. I mean Xbox is the more powerful console but PS5 has the better games. That won’t be the case by 2022 tho. Xbox is on the horizon of having a fuck ton of Single player and RPGs coming out that will be on their streaming service day one (Game Pass). With EA Play now included with game pass if you’re just into sports games then it’s perfect for you.

PS5 controller is nice but overrated. Xbox clearly went with the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” approach with their controller. I also don’t agree with the menu system but that’s based entirely on personal preference in my opinion. Also the quick resume on Xbox makes the need for menus less and less.

Steam autumn sale going. Witcher 3 is like 12 bucks I think there were a couple people who haven’t played it out there.

I agree for the most part. I’ve always had both systems for the games they offer. Fable and Gears of War are great. Halo I could take or leave but it’s okay. I disagree about the PS5 controller being over rated. It’s awesome! I don’t like sports games unfortunately lol so EA pass is probably worthless. I planned to use the Xbox only for their exclusives but there isn’t anything out right now worth playing that’s next gen and I don’t already have on my PS5. I literally downloaded Fable 1 to replay ?.

Xbox will be worth it in about a year and a half. I don’t blame anyone for getting a PS5 at this point tho. I will say, if you’re interested in 3rd party games mostly than Xbox is the way to go simply because it’s the more powerful console. And ea pass is now included in the Xbox game pass so you get the EA stuff on top of game pass stuff.

sucks about halo being shitty now. I love playing halo 3 at 4K and 60 FPS but I want new experiences in that franchise.

I may be a little bias because I have Xbox live and gamepass paid for through June of 2023 so I’m looking to the future. All in all I’m excited that Xbox and ps5 are competing heavily so us gamers benefit from all that. I will buy a Ps5 someday tho

I think X-Boxs problem is two fold, power doesnt bring people to their console, and a lack of diversity in good games that are exlusives. if power was the only reson to buy an xbox they would just buy a PC. People want good games and and exlusivity is what brings people to buy consoles. This is why nintendo is still selling a ton of switches regardless of how under powered it is and the xbox wont outperform playstation anytime in the near future.

Consoles are way easier to set up and play and deal with than PCs. Also you couldn’t get a PC to run anywhere near as good as the Series X for $500.

you’re right about exclusive games. Xbox has been slacking and they can’t bank off halo and gears anymore (especially halo, 343 fucking blows). But they’ve made great strides to acquire developers and games for the future. By 2022-2023 they’ll have released like 5 new RPGs alone. Not to mention they have Bethesda now so elder scrolls 6 will most likely be on Xbox only.

So in the near future they’ll have the more powerful console for third party games and they’ll have countless exclusives that are single player. Best of both worlds.

When I was speaking of power I didn't count the cost against it since you can't run photoshop, fusion 360 or any of that on an Xbox. I hope they do, I enjoy rpgs but if they are on pc I'll go that route.

Xbox seems to be taking the approach that they want people to be on gamepass and paying for that rather than get the most people buying Xboxes. All their exclusives going forward are on gamepass day one. $10 a month for normal gamepass or $15 for gamepass ultimate (which includes gold). You can get gamepass on Xbox or pc.

This is a great point. They’re trying to maximize their base.

So did anyone get cyberpunk
Yah. Played about two hours on PS5. Seems good but not wowing me at all. Lots O boobies thrown around lol.
Lots of complaints about it playing on the old systems, they are offering refunds.

Gets way better after first six hours imo

Picked up AC Valhalla, Marvel's Avengers, launch edition of Spider-Man 2, and Cyberpunk for PS4/PS5. Already had about 7 hours into AC on my PS4 before I set up my PS5 so I will probably finish that one first and then maybe move on to Spider-Man or Avengers after that. I will save Cyberpunk for several months from now when they get the major patches out and should be running smooth on the PS5, but Best Buy was offering a $10 gift cert with the preorder and a collectible steelbook case. I'm a sucker for a steelbook case.

Honestly the game on PC is one of the best looking I've ever played, it isn't everything they promised, but I can't ask for too much more than a great looking game with a good story. It's not very RPG for a RPG though

This exactly. After the first 6 hours it takes off its an amazing experience. I played it all weekend so I’m about 20 hours In (yes you can judge me for that) and it’s one of the best gaming experiences out there. I’ve only done one main quest after the prologue yet I’ve spent so much time in the game. The side quests are insane, might be the best of any RPG which is what I like the most. I’m on Xbox series x so I’m sure it’s not the same on lesser consoles but I am really loving it. Sneaking and hacking my way through enemies doesn’t get old.
