Academy Per-Diem and Paycheck

How is the per-diem and paycheck given to us? How frequently are each given? Also, for those staying at Kim’s, is your rent due the same day every month? If I were to arrive the 11th of this month, would my rent be due the 11th of every month? Thanks.

They go over per diem and the pay schedule the first day. First per diem at 15 days, then it’s every 30 days. There’s a student services office that handles it. Pay is biweekly by direct deposit.

Correct you can file for First per diem at 15 days, then it’s every 30 days thereafter. Call me and I can go over with you 405-627-1259 Kim

Can anyone at the academy say how much they make every two weeks including per diem and paycheck after taxes? I calculated it to be around $2000 every two weeks. Just wanted to see how accurate this is.

If only, maybe somewhere, amongst all these posts, there was some way to search them for specific topics which might yield all these answers already typed to questions already asked

Why does my math give me something closer to 4000 a month with pay and per diem? Per diem is $94.40/day. 94.4*90(en route)=8496+base pay

Salary after COLA: $24,086 / 12 = $2007.17
Per diem: $94.40/day x 30 = $2,832

I believe the bi-weekly checks are around $600 after taxes and the per diem for the same time period is about $1417 tax-free

So your take home is somewhere just south of $2000 every two weeks.

Salary is $23,547 which equates to $452 a week or $900 bi-weekly. I’d assume it would be close to 700 after taxes. Anyone have a clue about a more exact amount that is taken out of a $900 paycheck? Per diem at $94.40/day x 14 days is $1321 + $700 from check is about $2,000. So for someone taking enroute you’ll make around $12,000 after taxes during the whole stay.

I make 550 every two weeks post tax, but I also have 10% to retirement and thats after my medical and life insurance are taken out

Anyone know what a current government employee transfering to the faa will be looking at for a salary while at the academy?

That's an old salary, it's $24086 now from my FOL I received in March 2018.

Does anyone know what the paydays are for the academy? Is it like the Friday after every 14 day period or are there set days every month?
