Child care subsidy

Not sure if they do but faa does provide a subsidy program for childcare which has been a huge help for me! Covers 70% of childcare cost while your at AG pay. Then goes down to 45% then 30% all depending on salary. Being at a level 12 going from AG to D1 and then d2 just a few months later it’s baically lost at that point but it’s definitely a great program I’d recommend taking an advantage of. Having 2 kids, for almost a whole year I was paying $800 vs $2500 per month for full time care at a really nice school. That’s $20k that faa subsidy paid.
How do you go about using this benefit?

So I'm assuming it isn't dependent upon your entry into the FAA and solely based on your rank; like I won't get 45% that AG's do because I entered on a prior-experience bid, starting at D3 at my facility.

Just curious. I couldn't afford childcare out here anyways, being at a level 5 in Los Angeles. These taxes out here are absolutely ridiculous.

Yep unfortunately it all depends on your household income. But I can imagine! Childcare is crazy expensive!
