Direct hire list?

Is anyone keeping track of where the direct hires are being sent? I still think it's unfair for direct/new hires to be sent to places where current FAA employees would love to go and have ERR paperwork into.
EX: I've seen a few get SAV, VGT, EUG and I know a few people who would love to get to go to those facilities but can't bc of NCEPT and staffing.
Just wondering if I should start screenshotting the KSN list at work and keeping tabs, to complain to NATCA.
Not that it would accomplish much. I know the agency has the right to "hire and fire" but jeez.

Dude, you have a set of balls to come here with that shit. Don’t you know NATCA and the FAA had huge NCEPT meetings in May and decided to re-up the deal in its exact current form because it’s already perfect? You already have “the best job in the world”. Be happy just to be able to “share the burden”.

I know this is sarcasm, not directed at you but man I haaaaaate people with that attitude. Like no fuck you it's not it pays the bills and it's a good career but it's pretty fuckin far from dream job status.

It's almost always someone who has been a controller for like 3 seconds saying it too, if they are saying it and not blowing smoke.

To answer your question honestly:

The ATO/FAA sends direct hires (and in some cases, academy graduates) to facilities that suit their ability and on a “needed” or availability basis. In many cases it seems, these new hires are sent to places a current CPC is trying to transfer to.

You’re free to do as you please with trying to bring your concerns to the table, but NCEPT has been in place since January of 2016, and with the complaints that have been sent to both NATCA and the FAA, nothing has been accomplished (aside from the “Blame Game”).

NCEPT is currently in purgatory, as these “ongoing meetings continue” between NATCA and the FAA.

NATCA is very much not involved in the new hire placement process. Gaining more involvement in the hiring process has been on the docket for quite some time.
