President Musk has personally called for the shutdown, and now Republicans in Congress are obeying their Oligarch.Yep, not looking good now. But on the plus side, free leave for Christmas everyone!

Yep and no picket lines.Thrilled we are having a shut down. Hope it lasts for 30 days like last time. Remember when NATCA tired to have us write those letters to congress lol? I hope every last member tells them to get fucked this time.
Yeah where’s the collective call for a raise being coordinated by NATCA? Same place as Nick’s day 1 pay raise MOU I guess.Thrilled we are having a shut down. Hope it lasts for 30 days like last time. Remember when NATCA tired to have us write those letters to congress lol? I hope every last member tells them to get fucked this time.
I would wager that a lot of people don’t have funds to cover 30 days without a paycheck. I don’t have that much. I don’t get paid enough to cover my bills and save like that.Thrilled we are having a shut down. Hope it lasts for 30 days like last time. Well there are tons of banks that do 0% loans with proof of employment but don't abuse the leaveI would wager that a lot of people don’t have funds to cover 30 days without a paycheck. I don’t have that much. I don’t get paid enough to cover my bills and save like that.
Will they in the current rate environment tho?Well there are tons of banks that do 0% loans with proof of employment but don't abuse the leave
Again, we shouldn’t be in this situation to begin with. We shouldn’t have to worry several times a year if we’ll get paychecks or if we need to beg the bank for a hopefully 0% loan in the current environment.Well there are tons of banks that do 0% loans with proof of employment but don't abuse the leave
Correct but they expect you to bend over backwards and work traffic with an unknown pay date. I’m not playing their games this time around. My family was cutting it close after three missed paycheck last time. Not about to take an interest free loan that NATCA drummed up as a great benefit to live off of.I would wager that a lot of people don’t have funds to cover 30 days without a paycheck. I don’t have that much. I don’t get paid enough to cover my bills and save like that.
That might be true, I thought the only people in that situation last time were undeciplined simps, but now it’s more legit.I would wager that a lot of people don’t have funds to cover 30 days without a paycheck. I don’t have that much. I don’t get paid enough to cover my bills and save like that.
Well said brother.Correct but they expect you to bend over backwards and work traffic with an unknown pay date. I’m not playing their games this time around. My family was cutting it close after three missed paycheck last time. Not about to take an interest free loan that NATCA drummed up as a great benefit to live off of.
Will scrape by and not waste gas going to work because the thought of going to work and not getting paid has me sick.
Well in the UK they have more than two parties. If they fail to reach a budget they are replaced by the runner up. In the US this is what people want. Musk wants to prevent a stock ban and a law about work from home for government employees.Again, we shouldn’t be in this situation to begin with. We shouldn’t have to worry several times a year if we’ll get paychecks or if we need to beg the bank for a hopefully 0% loan in the current environment.
That’s actually good for us with the Cap issuesAlso worth noting the bill Congress had agreed to would give themselves a 3.8% pay raise in January. Not a massive increase, but still more than the pitiful 2% for the rest of us government servants.
Remember you can take sick leave but if you are disqualified they won't bring you in for other duties and you'll be furloughed
I think he means being “sick” might disqualify one from separation of air traffic but not necessarily admin duties? Just guessing. However, if you are “sick” you are no more or less “sick” than any other federal employee who calls in sick for work.what do you mean by the disqualified part and after that? its my first shutdown i wanna bang out
