I would wager that a lot of people don’t have funds to cover 30 days without a paycheck. I don’t have that much. I don’t get paid enough to cover my bills and save like that.

Again, we shouldn’t be in this situation to begin with. We shouldn’t have to worry several times a year if we’ll get paychecks or if we need to beg the bank for a hopefully 0% loan in the current environment.

Correct but they expect you to bend over backwards and work traffic with an unknown pay date. I’m not playing their games this time around. My family was cutting it close after three missed paycheck last time. Not about to take an interest free loan that NATCA drummed up as a great benefit to live off of.
Will scrape by and not waste gas going to work because the thought of going to work and not getting paid has me sick.

Well in the UK they have more than two parties. If they fail to reach a budget they are replaced by the runner up. In the US this is what people want. Musk wants to prevent a stock ban and a law about work from home for government employees.

I think he means being “sick” might disqualify one from separation of air traffic but not necessarily admin duties? Just guessing. However, if you are “sick” you are no more or less “sick” than any other federal employee who calls in sick for work.
