So how does this affect people who are going to the academy, I'm just not clear on this? This forum is really confusing. ajmezz did this affect you? Were you turned away when you reported for work?

Basically this. They actually held me overnight and when I got home this morning, my place was empty. The property management acted like I didn't exist. Crazy times we're living in.. be wary T-17..

Any who, If anyone is in the process of Medical or anything before the selection phase can you inform me so I can tell friends still trying to get into the agency. Like if they still continue with the process up until the selection or if everything is paused... including medical and background investigations

Friend of mine got a tol in April from last years exp bid (weird hang up why he didn't initially get one earlier I guess). HR told him not to expect his CIL until aug/sept due to budget issues or something. So it might be a little more of a wait.

As the original post says, its only for placement (hiring). A TOL, CIL, LOL, ROFL, or anything else isn't being hired.

Word I got is they overshot their hiring goal for direct hires so they had to throttle it back to give the pipeline time to clear

well, if they are waiting for a budget.... so we are waiting for a budget..... and they don't have a budget... what happens if the it takes until sept 30 to pass like on many other occasions ?? getting tired of waiting and waiting like everyone else as we all feel the same way.

Academy will have met their hiring quota for FY2017, which is why they suspended placement of direct-hires.
They'll start up again in mid-August to fill spots for FY2018 which starts October 1.

The fy18 class schedule for terminal basics was recently added to the academy course catalog. I'm sure enroute basics will be updated soon as well.

Anyone waiting for a facility list get it yet? They said in the email the 10th or 17th of August. Still don't have a email from them. Wondering if it's gonna be on the 17th or if people have started getting their lists.
