NATCA Election Results

The yacht thing narrative was just a bullshit campaigning scam by mick and rich. It was a convention solidarity dinner the same as all the rest. It was huge cuz it was 3 large regions combined. I can’t believe how many people followed the internet mob cuz why? Cuz it wasn’t on dry land? The convention was in FLL. With coastline and canals. People party on boats there. The backlash was like old people zombies watching Fox news.

It's just a bad look to spend how ever much money renting out a yacht when you're trying to get elected when people are asking for raises. Would it not be more fiscally responsible to rent out a restaurant for such a large group? I'm sure people would shit on it regardless of what they did but it seemed silly no matter what excuse you come up with.

JFC. The Convention Committee picks the spaces. It's presented to the NEB. There were zero objections from any of the NEB of the Convention event spaces. And the restaurants the other regions were in were similarly priced.

There is no debate. Nick spent the most.

For anyone that gives a shit, you can look up the LM-2. Just search "6/22/2023" and you'll see how much the union spent on get togethers at the convention. Nick spent 20k more than anyone else (over $50k). Two 30k restaurant bills were made outside of that.

His supporters can defend him all they want but the fact remains he spent significantly more money than the others. There were plenty of cheaper options and he chose to rent a yacht.

Looks like Carls Jr. is on the menu now for regional dinners, guys.

Why shouldn't they be more judicious with dues money, especially since they haven't really gotten the bargaining unit any real raises since the red book? Why do we need to spend almost $200 a head so people can eat steak? You can get 1200 chicken fingers from Raising Cane's for $1600. Get em fries and drinks and spend 900 or so more. You can rent a hall for cheap as hell with tables and chairs.

If someone won't attend the convention because they can't eat prime rib, then fuck them. Spend your own fucking money. It's infuriating paying almost 3 grand a year to this union for a tshirt so they can get us zero return on investment while spending money on themselves like that.

I might be misremembering, but IIRC the yacht dinner had more than one region. I think the per person costs were equal.

It was 3 regions, and yes, with all other costs factored in, it was on par per head with the other dinners. This has been debunked, like, 5 different ways.

People just don’t want to let it go because Nick’s name is attached to it.

I don't give a fuck if it was a value compared to the other big dinners. None of them should be happening. The giant regional dinners are a huge waste of dues money.
You should goto convention and get all the people who get all that stuff that are there to vote against themselves getting all that stuff!

It would not. They disclosed the finances. The boat didn’t cost more.

Check the facts. It was just internet bullshit that you idiots got swept up in
