Can't speak to facility culture, but local quality of life is pretty great for CMH and LEX. Columbus is a growing town, university town, and the state capital; if you're okay being surrounded by Ohio State fans there is plenty to do for any lifestyle. Same is mostly true with Lexington as well in regards to it being a growing town with plenty to do. CPC pay band at both is still more than comfortable living; housing costs are rising everywhere and I am sure they are no different, though.

Can’t speak for work life, but I’ve visited the MCI tower before, awesome facility and Kansas City itself is amazing. If you’re married and have kids or plan to have kids the city is great for young children. If you like night life the city does not disappoint, super cheap to live there too.

Fun fact Columbus is actually the biggest city in Ohio by population, more people than Cleveland and Cincinnati combined. It's 2nd only to Chicago in the midwest.
Misleading information. Columbus is also the largest geographically. If count the total population of the service area(suburbs). Cleveland and Columbus are virtually the same.

Another fun fact! SBA is the most expensive COL choice on this list.

But I know people there and they like it. Just a tougher commute.

EUG is a decent facility with good training.

Is this actually true or is this just like some quark with city limits and suburbs?

I'd avoid FSD, ITO, SBA, and probably RFD.

Absoulutely crazy list though, you're getting a better place to work after washing out than many people will as long as NCEPT is around.
Any reason to avoid ITO? It was high on my list considering Hawaii and all.

Also heard good things about FSD and SBA. List is a blessing. Thank you for your response.
Of course this comes out in the middle of a NCEPT panel… just curious, when did you get the list?
Heard that NEST lists come out quarterly and this was recent with a few days to respond.

They have changed the rules for the NEST facilities offered. They now offer any level appropriate facility which is projected below 100%. Quite a difference from 8 months ago when they were offering only facilities staffed below the national average. Great time to washout.
