Wow I had no idea.
I was wondering if there is a scenario where a swap would be successful but ERR wouldn’t, since swaps are processed afterwards.

Because people are talking about swaps and I am trying to grasp when a swap would ever be allowed per the rules that an NCEPT selection wouldn’t. It seems as if every potentially approved swap would have also just worked as an ERR. I am trying to understand why someone would attempt a swap when (throwing made up numbers out here) they are 1% successful and in the 1% of times they are successful an ERR would have also been successful.
Yeah, I don’t know where the disconnect is here. If you don’t get picked in the panel and you’re both green at the conclusion then it’s approved.

I thought they picked until you weren’t green anymore. That would mean your facility was eligible to release but no one had in for anywhere that could pick up?
Being green just gets your facility’s applicants on the lists, it doesn’t guarantee you’ll lose the max amount.
There are many facilities that can’t pick up on a given panel. Or they could pick up but they’ve selected their allotment already before it gets to your facility’s applicant on the ranking.

It’s so frustrating this is always the only solution lmao our previous facrep and previous vp had a call with our ARVP awhile back who legit stated this is what they needed to do if they wanted to get out smh
Hey guys been a while since I posted. I currently got a TOL after being out for a year. Applied through direct hire and HR told me I need to complete my entire CIL again. Regardless of my active FAA security clearance mmpi, I get I have to do medical again. Does anyone have suggestions on what I can say to the right person to get me closer to getting a list? Also, will the list just be 4 or 5s if my last facility was a 5?
Sounds like you didn't apply for direct hire if you're waiting for a list. You applied for the prior experience bid.
You won't be waiting on a list until you finish your medical stuff. So the only thing you can do is schedule your appointments 🤷♂️
As for what the list would look like idk. If you weren't certified at your last facility it could look different but right now it seems like a decent amount of people are being offered level 9s and below. But they could also offer you your previous facility level and below, really just depends

oh man alright, I did apply for previous experience, I honestly don’t know what else to apply for if there’s something different. It just sucks I work at a contract tower and the pay cut is big if I get sent back to a 5. Also they used my clearance with the FAA, I just find it pointless to waste time if I know mine is still valid.
