Let me rephrase.... Is taking that stance at all wrong, in light of what we are seeing? No. Do I need or want Steven Colbert and takei to speak for me in this or any regard? Also no.
It seems to me the overwhelming majority of Americans (not to mention the rest of the west) are for the sanctions by the response I've seen. It's the contrarians making it a domestic political issue to rally behind, because again, Biden bad that's the issue here.
There's quite a few EVs and hybrids that come in around your twitter quote "battery cost" especially if you look into the used market, and even if it where true, if the cost of gas is gonna wildly fluctuate and go very high at times, and probably never get back to where it was why would you not want to "lock in" your transportation costs as a flat rate up front purchase and just have it factored into your car note?
Still seems like the smart money move. It's the future. Accept it. It's not a huge moral breach to do something that's smart for your wallet as well as the environment.

You can be for sanctions and also be for increasing domestic oil production, or many other scenarios. It's short-sighted to argue that anyone against what Biden is doing and also mad about gas prices is being a contrarian or hypocritical.

Nobody simps for Russia. You assume that because people aren’t quick to believe the bullshit from the media and governement, 2 years COVID as an example.
