I was on a FacRep call and they said don’t look at their facility level as an indicator of a good controller, look at the pac contributions!

I could see it as like a 7th item tie breaker but when does it ever get past two reasons to hire or not hire people.

I’m a firm believer in rewarding people who put time and effort to progress their career and move from low levels to mid level facilities. It pisses me off to see people with less than two years in the agency getting hired for sought after facilities over more experienced and people employed/Natca member longer. NCEPT caused so many low seniority/low level people to get the most desired facilities it’s ridiculous.

Of course it is. I’d bet most people are selected illegally. I’ve heard of FacReps refusing anyone that has mentioned bidding a Sup job. Also illegal.

I doubt it’s illegal since the facrep doesn’t actually decide the rankings. If a manager was a aware of the unscrupulous reasons for why a facrep was doing it a certain way then you might have something but it’s ultimately the managers rankings and if all they are doing is taking the reps feedback into consideration I doubt you have a leg to stand on.

Pretty sure all you have to do is fill out SF1188 and they can’t take dues from you anymore so you automatically are done. Never done it or seen anyone do it though so I’m not sure.
