Follow up question, anybody harboring any resentment towards those unvaxxed who not only got 40 hours of free leave but 14 days off if they were exposed? Also why the mask mandate now if we are all vaxxed?

The masks are mandated in a different EO. I hope they update it soon. But it is already tied to community spread so hopefully it will go away on its own

Loooool imagine a guy that got a yr off work for a pre existing condition (asthma) came back got 3 months of baby leave then got Covid leave for like two weeks offered 40hrs of leave to get vaccine and still won’t get it. Oh and got picked up on this NCEPT too ? resentment is a understatement….

I don't know if I could resent anyone for making a personal decision that doesn't really affect me all that much, I do resent the way in which the FAA handled it, and think it's incredibly unfair to those of us who did the right thing early on and didn't need to be bribed into workplace safety. No way the dude who needed to be threatened with his job before he got the vaccine deserves and atta boy for getting it meanwhile the people who got it early, sometimes having to wait in lines, continually waste time refreshing websites to get an appointment, and do shit on thier own time to do so should get less.

As I was writing it all out I was thinking no way anybody reading this is going to believe it ? still absolutely astonishing lol. But it is fair can’t hate the player hate the game! Screw NATCA for not caring about their employees needs enough to fix the broken process

Lmao that was pretty far out there but there's always one dude pulling some wild scam. I could absolutely see some of my coworkers doing some shit like that so it's not totally unbelievable haha.

Nah. I try not to get wound up about other people skating, we’d all do the same if given the opportunity. But if that guy came in complaining about having to get the shot when the time comes I’d have no problem telling him to stfu.

Oh no I know I replied as if it didn’t happen but it most certainly did ? our entire facility is thrilled that he’s at least leaving though so it all works out good luck rest of the NAS real gem coming at ya

I have 4 in my area alone. I don’t mind working without them and I like money, so, fuck em!
 
Only two in my area I know of who are actively pursuing an exemption. One got the first jab and had a severe reaction - so he'll probably get some accomodation, but might be SOL for ever controlling again, and the other is convinced his "sincerely held belief" in science, philosophy, and... whatever other nonsense he makes up at the time will get him a religious exemption.

There's also a trainee not even going for an exemption, but just burning leave until the agency fires him. At least he has a plan?
