The way in which they report it (weekly) makes it seem a lot better than the other states using daily reporting. Florida isn't handling covid any different than a lot of other states in the red, they are however reporting it differently, and that appears to be the difference.

If the associated press is too biased for you I have terrible news about your sources of information. I can think of few news organizations thats are less biased and more of a straight news product when it comes to big time names.
