Regardless, as I said, I’m glad they’re buying them for self defense purposes, because it legitimatizes guns more and more and destroys arguments that the anti-gunners continue to push ad nauseam.

No, you buy a gun for a reason, virtually all of which are somewhat related to self-empowerment and independence, something the Left continues to try and take away with gun control. I think those two traits are much more related to conservatism than liberalism.

I'm all for gun ownership and yes, the more left leaning people who buy them the better, Id love to see it get to a point that it ceases to become a wedge issue, because then the GOP will never win another election and maybe we will have some space for actual conversation about real left ideas, not the woke corporatist ideals of the Democrats.

Time to start lobbying Democrats to stop putting gun bans in every Democratic platform every few years, and encourage more people to not vote for Democrats for that reason, then.

There’s irony of you bringing up the wealthy and taxes, too, what with Biden’s administration pushing the Venmo/PayPal tax, the proposal for the IRS to monitor bank accounts, that crazy Treasury (I think) nominee that proposed to go full communist on bank accounts, and trying to raise SALT tax caps to let the wealthy keep more of their money. Republicans sure don’t do much to lower wealth inequality, to be sure, but I wouldn’t vote for them for that, and I know a lot of people voted for Biden to close that gap. He’s been an abject failure in that regard to those people.
