Who makes these CBIs and why does every controller in the NAS need to complete them when they don't apply to my airspace??? If it ever does apply to my airspace I'm not going to remember anything this CBI says.... waste of time and money.

Its for if you ever do transfer to a fac where that applies, and when asked if you've taken it before, you are told to do it again as a refresher

If you're dead set on wanting the position then I would recommend calling the HR person handling the opening and asking them about any projected timeline/updates; if they say they got it off their desk then there's a good chance you didn't make the cut. From what I understand it is somewhat similar to TMU and SSS bids: applications can sit on HR's desk until the window expires (something like 90 days after closing) without the ATM/facility even being told that people applied and your application was all for naught. They are terrible with accurately updating the application status on USAjobs and Aviator.
