Staff Support Specialist positions and the 52 weeks requirement

Hey guys, quick question about the wording and meaning of the requirements for 52 weeks on the staff support specialist jobs. The verbiage states "Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS Facility." Does this ONLY pertain to 52 weeks at an FAA facility or does time spent rated as a DOD controller at a military installation apply as well? Thanks for any help.

So ATS means air traffic services which is what FAA air traffic controllers and facilities fall under. I don’t know the answer to your question but that wording would imply FAA only.

Alright, I was just curious since I didn't know if it would count any time spent as a certified controller under the DoD. If that's what it's implying then that's most likely what it means. Thanks!
