I'd guess come Sept if we're still on these schedules those admin days become furlough days. So if you aren't saving extra money now you probably should be.

So trying to do some math on this. This faa.gov link shows that at the end of the 2019 fiscal year, that the trust fund had a cash balance of $17.9 bil. Also treasury anticipates fiscal 2020 revenues at $17.04bil. So if the trust fund effectively has approx a years worth of funding in advance, shouldn't that mean that the fund should actually not come close to exhaustion until about a year after this sleigh-ride started? And potentially much longer assuming that they can "control" the discretionary Airport improvement grants, etc. coming out of the same fund? Would like to know more about how Paul came up with the August date I guess.

Wouldn’t all they’d have to do is just put in the next budget that we get paid from the general fund? I say this next part with a heap of trepidation but that doesn’t sound like too much.

That would defeat the lobbying that was done for ‘steady stream financing’ so when other government agencies were shutdown, the FAA could still operate since aviation provides so much to the GDP.

Do you think they’re going to want to allow the Agency that oversees/facilitates that industry lose 90% of their funding and let thousands of Federal Employees go without paychecks? The airlines took the money to operate thru Sept 30th. They have all said they are reducing service for the foreseeable future. Politicians don’t care about Federal Employees, remember last year? They’ll use employees as pawns, etc.
