I heard a rumor TOA was going to start charging landing fees for touch and goes. Is this true and has it effected traffic count, and do you think it could put the fac at risk for another downgrade? Yall had quite a rollercoaster of up and downgrades in the past few years going from 7 to 5 to 7. I'm curious what that was all about and if it could happen again. I'm hoping for TOA on a prior experience list.

Yes, they're already running level 6 numbers again and will likely be downgraded within a few months. I believe they also have some new noise abatement procedure that has killed the traffic too.

Sling flight school still pops off at TOA. A lot more of the sling aircraft (Flying lawnmowers as someone called them) are staying down at SEE now. Landing fees definitely had something to do with that. 6$ per landing I believe.

The slings only take off and land for their training flights. They head to Compton or Long Beach for pattern work now. Wouldn’t be surprised if they get downgraded twice.
