Wasted strips

Hello all,
Is there a way to omit the constant updates inbound strips that the FDIO machine generates? We go through half a box a day of strips being thrown out. Is there a command or something that can be done about this?

Thanks

The center feeding you should be able to turn them off. Have your facility tell them what you want and don't want.

Why do you want to eliminate jobs from Union Brothers?

The strip paper factory is a Union Shop too.

We get like 20 of those every time they send one of those out. Same thing for MTC. Super annoying.

Should be able to turn off just the update strips? The ones that print out when the center inputs a new altitude for the aircraft, even though Terminal arrival strips don't show the altitude anywhere?

Or is it an all-or-nothing, you get strips or you don't kind of thing?

Should be able to customize what gets printed. Our mid configuration has arrival strips, our day does not. They can pick with printer strips go to as well.

That's still all-or-nothing though. Arrival strips or no arrival strips. I'm skeptical that they have such fine control as to say "you get the first arrival strip on a flight but not any further updated strips."

If they do have that capability and nobody ever told me about it before I'm going to be annoyed...

Do you have a VFR tower that uses half strips nearby? Lots of those towers use those if they do strips instead of a pad
