En Route 5/3/21

sorry about the wait, just wanted to make sure I wasn't giving away anyone's personal info
No worries. Ah so 5/3 is our virtual onboarding date? Not basics start date? My virtual onboarding date says 9/14/20 ? so I was curious what it actually was lol. I asked my hr rep in my email reply stating that I accept the start date, but she hasn’t responded, nor do I think she will lol

My virtual onboarding date also says 9/14/20, and I don't have a response from HR saying they received my acceptance :). Have y'all actually received the FOL or just the acceptance letter?

Just the start date email. My HR rep hasn’t acknowledged my acceptance email, but it’s in my sent folder and was a reply to that email directly, so I know it was sent to her. Not too concerned.

I have CS but she did take a day or two to get back to me about my acceptance.

Its possible that the actual onboarding wont be known until we get our actual FOL's

Also, I see that there will be a wait after basics. They aren't proving a livable wage, and we can't be dual employees (or at least the email says that) Does anyone have any idea on how long the wait is between online basics and actual classroom.

right now its impossible to know for sure, because from what I've seen some people have waited longer than others, my guess would be that we should be good, its seems that they are still running at the lowest attendance rates per class, splitting them into 2 different physical classes, so bar another shutdown things should run at a fairly regular pace due to all the current classes being on the same type of covid schedule, or hopefully things could pick up

Just penny pinch I guess, and pick up a side gig for the next three months lol. It would be more ideal if we could do instacart or DoorDash on the side lol. I would have zero complaints.

I’d ask HR about this. I’m pretty sure in the past you were allowed to have a part time job on the side as long as it wasn’t a conflict of interest and you weren’t working that job during the hours you were training. I have a part time retail job currently that they’re allowing me to work every once in a while on the weekends if I want to (if I feel like I’d be able to handle it on top of studying in my free time) so I may email TH and ask if that’s possible.

When I got the call asking if the start date they wanted to give me would work, they told me I'd be going to OKC only a week after basics ended. 3/25 start date 4/28 academy.

Thanks for that information!!
