Hiring Bid FAA-ATO-21-ATCEXP-71144

Same here. I’ve already accepted a DoD position stateside I’ll start at the beginning of June. I want to see how this hiring process plays out with the FAA though since I’m sure it’ll take quite a bit of time to even get hired in.

Where at?

Anybody know a timeline of when they’ll be giving out TOLs from the referral list?
This is my 3rd bid I’ve applied for (the first two were bad timing for me after everything) but after application, I got my TOL in 6-8 weeks via email. Comes from a weird email with the word Patriots in it so check all your folders regularly.

So wait, TOL’s are usually issued 6-8 weeks after bid closing? That means we should be expecting TOL’s to drop here sometime in the next 2 weeks?

Correct, that is how it went for me the first 2 times. I’m checking my email like 30 times a day. I am not an expert
4F6E8706-23F7-4215-9E24-BC29AC2B8B9E.pngI got hired off of the March bid from last year. I know it might not match up perfectly, but this was my timeline for the whole process. Finding a facility that allowed visitors for the MMPI was the hardest part. Good luck. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the timeline. Looks like my aspirations of being in a facility before November may be tough. Could you provide more information on what an MMPI is and if there were any other hiccups outside of covid

I had no hiccups. Pretty straight forward. They send you emails for everything. The MMPI II is the personality test. You can google it and get a decent idea of what it is like. My advice would be dont try to portray yourself as perfect human with no emotions and don’t lie. Don’t stress it or overthink it too much.

This. Most people get tier 2-ed for not following this advice

Anyone happen to know if we can apply GI Bill education benefits to training at a facility?

Certain facilities already have it in place, you’ll just have to apply and recertify your training each month. If your facility doesn’t have it then they can apply to become an OTJT facility program, not sure how long that process takes but it doesn’t sound fast. You can search which facilities have this available on one of the VA sites and it’ll tell you how much BAH and book stipend you will receive.
