It would absolutely cost them less over many years to incentivize leaving the union in the short term, and almost every single employer and employee follows the money. There's a reason why labor doesn't want non members negotiating their own contracts. How many people would leave the union if not only they didn't have to pay dues, but the faa paid them even 5k more per year?

Then as soon as the union is dead, you freeze pay or even cut pay by 10k per year. And then what form of recourse do you have as an employee?

Unfortunately as we can see by the geniuses in the vax threads most people think they know better than everyone else and are too short sighted and would take the deal
In A job where 15,000 people do the same thing it’s not really Possible for everyone to negotiate their own contract. It would be nonstop contract negotiations for the faa.

Oh I see now, well that's simply because your point is bad and your defense of that point is bad. Nobody is trying to force someone into a union job, they're trying not to allow people to get a union job and reap the benefits of the union job and then in turn not pay the union dues that allowed them to get aforementioned benefits in said union job.

Hope that helps, follow me for more helpful explanations
The idea someone like a pilot for Republic has to start pay dues to Teamsters against their will is stupid. Also, the union is the one stopping individuals from negotiating with an employer directly. Look at our own contract. It doesn't allow someone to not get Union benefits. Shitty unions need to be held accountable for being shitty. They already protect too many poor employees. Everyone in the agency has seen it. Yeah, IBEW doucher, I can plug in my extension cord to an outlet on my own just fine.

BTW, dues paying, PAC contributing, active union employee here.

Has there been anything concrete on when the FAA is going to mandate controllers get the vax by? I know biden said 75 days or something but haven’t heard/read about a set date.

Nov 22nd.

People that are really anti vax just get j and j. One and done and it doesn’t alter your RNA

Lol true that's how it is at most employers, everyone has fun contract negotiations

Some of you guys have never had shitty private sector jobs and it shows
I’ve had private sector jobs. But in my corporate job I was the only one in that specific job.

I don't know anything about their situation but if they're enjoying the benefits and rights of a teamsters contract then yeah

Yeah I explained why it would be bad to allow individual negotiations

Elections are supposed to be what rights a bad union, although our election this round was shady as fuck I think ours has fallen short recently in a lot of ways. A really non functioning union would see a mass exodus and there's a threshold of representation a union has to hold to be recognized

As for the bad employees thing it's kinda like welfare, I'd rather protect the good ones and deal with a couple unfortunate scammers than have anyone good suffer the consequences of inadequate protection

To everyone bitching about natca. What position are they supposed to take other than this one? Ensuring the CBA is adhered to is literally the only position they can take lol. Should they just lie to you and say you don’t have to get it if you don’t want?
That's absolutely wrong. A union can stand up for it constituents. All five of the USPS unions came out immediately against these EOs when there was talks about them months ago.

Can a non union member use natca wifi? A controller. Used to be a member and quit. Anyone have any insight?
One of my previous facilities would regularly change the password and make sure not to disseminate to non members. Sounds legit to me!

Yeah and a lot of good that did them.

If natca dues money pays for it then absolutely you can tell that person to get fucked
