We have min which shows how close two aircraft will get and where but it doesn’t say anything about altitude

I didn’t say anything about altitude. But that’s a pretty nice feature. What’s divergence to a terminal controller then. I wanna learn. I only do divergence off a runway

We can use visual passage. Idk if your allowed to use radar passage. We cant use diverging. We can use visual sep and 3 increasing to 5 But that last one doesn’t usually help much

I’ve never really found MIN to be very useful. Don’t think I’ve ever used it aside from throwing it up to see the crazy zig zags it shows.

Divergence is some tracon shit that is used constantly at large tracons. Smaller tracons sometimes use it, and some think they use it but don’t know what they’re doing.

Divergence is 15° or more. In order for it to be properly applied you need to have 1000ft or 3 miles before, and flight paths must have crossed. It’s nice and can get two planes literally less than 1 mile same altitude if ones faster than the other.

Since your center just think about how it’s applied from tower and stop there because you’ll never get to be cool ? you keep people apart by monitoring. We put them close as fuck by skill. Some do some shit that makes everyone think wtf

Deals in a tower are generally a lot scarier than centers. In a center, a separation error can be 4.9 miles and 900 feet. In the tower a loss of separation is a lot closer

Departure vs arrival separation can get pretty spicy in a center. For those of us that own the ground

Based on what I've heard I hope that woman's family sues the pants off Baldwin, the producers, the prop house all of it. What I really want to know is what live rounds were doing anywhere near a movie set. Alec Baldwin gets all the jokes but honestly ya prop house lady probably 99 percent to blame on this one.

so not being familiar with blanks, if you were handed a revolver and you check the chamber, can you tell if it’s a blank or a live round? Like if Alec was handed a gun, told it was loaded with a blank, would a visual inspection short of popping the round out and looking at show it was a live round and not a blank?

Blank rounds don't have the bullet portion of the round in them, just a crimped end of a case. It's a pretty plain difference if you know what a bullet looks like more or less, much less handle them with any kind of regularity. You never handled blanks in the AF?

From the back, they look the same, so in a revolver if you opened the cylinder or loading gate....no it would look exactly same.

That said I highly doubt Baldwin was loading his own blanks, and being in the acting business where pointing a "play gun" at someone is just another day at the office....I'm not surprised he got a little lackadaisical with the gun safety.

Again.....why tf there were live rounds on set to begin with I can't comprehend.

From the back they look like real bullets. Would you be able to tell by looking at the front? Not sure but they do look different.

Who knows what they were using but blanks have a plug that’s usually some color.

I shot an M16 in basic for 1 day and never handled a firearm other than my own agein in the AF.
