Does anybody know where i can get a copy of the books (digital or hard) they gave us in the enroute Academy classes? I'm currently a trainee at a Z facility and i would love to have them back. Really wishing i hadn't thrown them away. >.< After having training paused for over a year due to covid i've lost a ton of basic knowledge.

There is a document suppository somewhere that you can access from behind the firewall. I found all the tower stuff there a few years ago. No clue where I found it. Loa.FAA.gov might have a link.
 
This thread is a little stale now that the convention shit-posting has its own thread and there hasn't been much posts on the other typical topics (thank Buddha). That being said, I would like to know how some of the more regular shit-talkers on here ( Uglytaco 32andBelow Homsar Termine jamisjockey Peter Gibbons Billybob ) would personally rank the 17 presidents elected in the 20th Century. Since, you know, we are all Subject Matter Shit Talking Experts (SMSTEs). I cobbled together my list; I had a little difficulty ranking Taft through Hoover (except Wilson) and had to give myself a Wikipedia history lesson for an hour and a half to refresh my high-school-US-history-level knowledge. I still don't feel confident in my 9-13 rankings, but I gave it a shot. I submit my rough list, and expect the shit-posting insults to commence promptly:

  2. Teddy Roosevelt
  3. LBJ
  4. JFK
  5. Wilson
  6. Eisenhower
  7. Truman
  8. Carter
  9. Ford
  10. Clinton

I'd move Woodrow down the list a bit, and Reagan did a lot of irreparable harm to the country that we are still feeling today as much as the GOP likes to slob his knob like Nancy on the MGM lot, he probably needs needs to be down there in the bottom two.

Your top 3 or 4 are pretty fucking spot on though. Teddy may be my favorite prez of all time.... some pretty good policy for the day and a red blooded murican to boot, and cousin Frankie D arguably the best president we've ever had when it comes to doing what's good for the people and the country. getting rid of or weakening a lot of that new deal policy is one of the worst things to happen in the last 60 years or so.
