I haven’t really heard much from the Reps on Sweden. I have heard people with socialist desires and thoughts who often say: “socialism hasn’t worked because it hasn’t been done right” - what an idiot, I could say the same thing about capitalism, except that it was done once, and greatly. It has also lifted more people out of poverty than other systems, ever wonder why everyonr wants to migrate to the USA? Wherein the other case of socialists, which later transformed into communism (Mao, Stalin, Hugo, Fidel, Cambodia, I can go on) killed millions of people.

Those people have said “we need to make the USA like the Nordic countries because of their healthcare and minimum paying jobs wages, and the price of hamburgers only went up one cent.”

These are the same people screaming “BLM, race equality” yet they don’t realize these Nordic countries are 99% white, aren’t socialist countries and their taxes are between 30-35%. - LOL what a joke

Meaning, those who do nothing to get out from where they are then complain about the government or someone else instead of looking at themselves and how they can improve their lives.

Well that's kind of the ballgame right there. If you don't think "the rich" exploit people then I think that is the philosophical impasse for all of this. And then that would explain why you don't have empathy for those that struggle if you think every single person on Earth can bootstrap themselves up to better lives. I'm not saying that to insult, but as to recognize your baseline argument.

The phrase grow up was chosen carefully. No I also do know the amount of people who cannot due to disability and what not, life is really tough for a lot of people.

A good example of people getting out of the bottom would be immigrants, and that’s just staying within the USA.

You don't find it exploitive that the ten richest people in the world doubled their wealth in the last 2 years while we are all dealing with 7 percent inflation like it's the end of the world? You don't think it's exploitive bezos is shooting himself and shatner and company into space on a dick rocket for funsies while he fires his lower wage workers for not pissing in bottles fast enough?

I grew up in a conservative household. I've done nothing but drift further left over the years as I've come to realize how stacked the deck is, so the "you'll grow out of it" argument is dumb, so SHUT UP DAD!

I'm all for responsible and enthusiastic gun ownership (I currently have 5 and am looking to eventually get 2 more), but the article you posted literally has "because of safety fears" in the title and "Concerns over safety lead more women and minorities to arm themselves" in the sub-title. And the opening paragraph mentions a woman who says being a minority and being a woman puts her at additional risk.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement for a pro-conservatism argument. "Isn't it great?! People are scared shitless so bad that they are agreeing with me based upon fear for their life!"

I don’t see how that’s bad at all. I think the concepts of self-reliance and self-defense turning people to gun ownership over gun prohibition is a good thing. It may not be the best thing that it was fear and not logic and statistics that has caused people to get to that point, but I really don’t care if it causes gun control laws to be repealed as a result.

Yes purchasing guns because a wing of one the major political parties of this country has been taken over by rabid tiki torch bearing "they will not replace us" white dudes who think those same people that are now arming themselves are what ills this country.

It's not like you buy a gun and all the sudden now you are a "conservative" with all the other old timey, self defeating, outdated bullshit that comes along with that affiliation.
