Not a partisan issue? Not sure many believe the invasion would be happening if ‘we’ hasn’t elected a bumbling imbecile and a cackling hyena. What a spectacle for the world to witness. On top of a botched Afghanistan, open southern border, skyrocketing inflation, energy dependence again, supply chain gridlock, shutdowns/mandates. So seems fairly predictable to most that this would happen, and it’s only been 1 year.

Yeah there’s no way Putin would invade Ukraine when the guy who calls him smart and didn’t do anything against him killing our troops in Syria and had private conversations with him and had foreign interests in Russia and trusted him more than our informational agencies was president!

Trump was such a beacon of patriotism we are so lost as a country without his leadership!
 
So I think the next question in this conflict is: is there going to be a massive mobilization/deployment of US forces to Eastern Europe? Biden said today that Putin‘s ambitions go far beyond Ukraine, that he “wants to re-establish the Soviet Union.” That sounds like a conflict between the NATO members of the bloc and Russia are inevitable. Right now the US has only a few thousands troops in the region. They’d ultimately be no match for a Russian force of 200,000 if they decide to just power on past Ukraine. So what’s the preparatory response going to be? An overwhelming show of force?

I’m sure we’d send more and mobilize quickly if they attacked a nato country, but Europe does have militaries already there, whether Germany will do anything or stay addicted to cheap gas is another
